New Music: Mario – “Bed Love”

Posted by Nicky on June 18, 2012 »

On this edition of #MarioMondays, the soulful crooner hopped on Twitter to talk to his fans, release his latest song Bed Love, & explain the lyrics behind it.

#BedLove is about a Man who’s lusted without love so much that when love comes along his default is lust.He hopes to learn how to love her. We made sure the lyrics were real. Though it can seem a lil contradicting, it’s a honest place for a man to be at times. #bedlove #MarioMondays. The record is called #BedLove produced by my fam @YoungYonny who also produced “Say Ahh” for @TreySongz #bedlove #MarioMondays

Iraq Veteran Sgt. Dunson uses music to treat his PTSD

Posted by Nicky on May 15, 2012 »

Fox News/Huffington Post/CBS latest story is a testament of how music soothes. Sgt Leo Dunson, an Army Veteran with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), uses rap to heal his war wounds. His stress effected him so much that at one point Leo Dunson wanted to die and put a gun to his temple and pulled the trigger — but the loaded weapon misfired.

Dunson so far has transcribed his traumatic experience, training and service as an infantryman, to five albums in four years. Another indication that music indeed is therapy.

See more on the article HERE and watch Sgt Leo Dunson video below.
